[responsivevoice_button] GTA 6 pre-orders have begun. It has been an extremely long journey for fans to get to this point but Rockstar Games have officially opened pre-orders for their next blockbuster game. Gamers across the world can now pre-order the game both digitally and physically ahead of its release on November 19th 2026. Grand Theft Auto VI was previously only able to be wishlisted on both the PlayStation and Xbox Store. Retailers could not take pre-orders officially either. Only small independent stores have been taken people’s money for a couple of years in anticipation and to earn interest on the cash. As of Thursday June 25th, GTA VI can be pre-ordered from the PlayStation Store and Xbox Store plus all select online and physical retailers such as Amazon and Gamestop. The game is launching with both a digital and physical copy. However, there is no disc inside and it is just a code in a box. Rockstar began setting pre-orders live at midnight local time. As the clock struck midnight in North America, the pre-orders opened. Within an hour, the PS5 and XBOX versions on Amazon US both sold out. There is an unprecedented amount of demand. At the time of writing, both versions have come back in stock so be sure to order your PS5 and XBOX copy with this link for $79.97. If it is out of stock, check again later. Pre-ordering any version will gift you the Vintage Vice City Pack. Using the Amazon link to pre-order the game will help support this website as we’ll earn a small commission. Thank you! It is being reported that there will be a disc copy coming in December. Plus, the code in a box version is limited and once it sells out, that’s it. There will be no more. Learn more here. Pre-Order Warning Something to keep in mind before pre-ordering is when your money will be taken from your account. Where PlayStation will immediately charge you the money for GTA VI (despite not being released until November), Xbox will only charge you up to 10 days before the game comes out. Amazon also do not charge until the item is shipped so just before launch whereas other retailers will take payment when you place an order. There is no advantage to pre-ordering the game this far in advance especially digitally. You can still pre-order the game a day before it comes out, get the pre-order bonus and likely pre-load the game. $70 is a fair bit of money. If you don’t want to part ways with that yet for something that won’t sell out, consider holding off pre-ordering until just before the game comes out. Will you be preordering GTA 6?
