Polymarket Supported Countries: Restrictions and US Access

Check Polymarket International country and region restrictions, close-only status and the separate US platform using official sources.

Polymarket Supported Countries: Restrictions and US Access
On this page

Polymarket International access depends on your physical location and its current restrictions. Do not infer permission from a country being absent from an old blog list. Check the official geographic restrictions page and account eligibility before depositing or trading.

International access versus US access

Polymarket International and Polymarket US are separate services. International's restrictions include the United States. That does not answer whether you are eligible for the US service, which has its own onboarding and rules. A market page opening in your browser is also not proof that deposits or new positions are permitted.

Country and regional restrictions checked October 5, 2026

The official page distinguishes country blocks, regional restrictions and exceptions for viewing data or managing existing positions. Its table and close-only section overlap, so do not interpret a single label as permission for every action.

Other countries listed in the official blocked table

Australia, Belgium, Belarus, Brazil, Burundi, Central African Republic, Congo (Kinshasa), Cuba, Ethiopia, France, United Kingdom, Ireland, Iran, Iraq, Japan, North Korea, Lebanon, Libya, Myanmar, Malta, Nicaragua, Netherlands, New Zealand, Russia, Slovakia, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, United States Minor Outlying Islands, Venezuela, Yemen and Zimbabwe.

This is a dated summary of International's published platform policy, not a list of countries where trading is legally permitted. The source's headline count and listed rows do not match; we preserve the named locations without repeating that count. Recheck the official table and account notices before taking action.

A location-check workflow

  1. Identify which platform you are using: International or US.
  2. Check the current country list and any province or region exceptions.
  3. Read account-level notices concerning deposits, opening positions and closing positions.
  4. If the instructions conflict, contact support before sending money.
  5. Recheck after traveling or after a platform-policy change.

VPNs and country detection

Polymarket's published policy prohibits evading location restrictions. Changing an IP address is not evidence of eligibility. If location detection appears incorrect, use the support process instead of treating a successful connection as permission to trade.

This page concerns practical platform availability. Our legal countries guide concerns the separate regulatory question. Neither can substitute for individualized advice on local law. A supported wallet, access to public API data and access to trading are three different capabilities.

For market research that does not require execution, explore market odds and the data API comparison. Research tools do not change venue restrictions.
