Is Kalshi down?

Check the official exchange flags and the market groups supplied by Kalshi. Read the check time and scope alongside each result.

Official exchange flags

Requesting the public exchange status…

Snapshots may be reused for up to 15 seconds; the check time stays attached to that snapshot. Results expire after 90 seconds. This checks exchange flags, not website, login, deposits, withdrawals or your individual account.

What this status check measures

The official status reference, checked October 6, 2026, separates exchange changes, trading and internal transfers. The top-level flags concern the default group, index 0; a supplied breakdown gives additional market-group flags. A default-group result does not establish the state of every category.

The tool reads that public endpoint without account credentials. It does not place an order or inspect your portfolio. A successful response proves that this check received data from the status source; it does not prove that your browser, payment method or account is working.

A trading pause and an outage are different

The documented trading flag can be false outside trading hours or during a pause. An estimated resume time, when supplied, can change. Check the group relevant to your contract instead of applying one headline to all activity.

For example, imagine the default group permits trading while another reported group does not. Calling the entire platform healthy would hide that difference. Calling every system down would also overstate what the flags establish. Read the individual rows and the venue’s current information.

If your app or order is failing

  1. Record the exact action, message and time.
  2. Check whether a valid recent snapshot is available here and inspect the relevant group.
  3. Compare the official app or website’s own message.
  4. Check account-specific requirements and the contract’s current state separately.
  5. If unresolved, send the specific error and time to official support through its secure channel.

If an order response is uncertain, confirm its actual state before repeating it. A connection error alone does not tell you whether an order was accepted. The Kalshi API guide explains data and authenticated operations; this page performs only a public status read.

For a different venue, use the Polymarket US and international status check. Its sources and component scopes differ from Kalshi’s exchange flags.

Payments and balances need separate evidence

An exchange flag cannot diagnose a pending bank transfer or an account restriction. Keep deposit, withdrawal, order and market-status questions separate when gathering evidence. For balance interpretation, read Kalshi portfolio versus cash.

Alphascope provides an independent view of the official flags, not an official Kalshi status service. The displayed timestamp is the time our server obtained that snapshot. An unavailable result is deliberately shown as uncertainty, with no old green status retained.

Common questions

Does this prove the Kalshi website is working?

No. It reports the official exchange API flags at the displayed check time. Website, login, payments and individual account access are separate systems.

Does trading not permitted mean Kalshi is down?

Not necessarily. The documented flag can reflect trading hours or a pause. Inspect the relevant market group and current venue information.

What does an unavailable check mean?

This tool could not obtain a usable response. It does not confirm a venue-wide outage. Refresh shortly and compare the official app or support information.
