Novig's current availability policy excludes Arizona, Nevada and Michigan. Its official eligibility page, checked October 6, 2026, bases access on physical location rather than residency. Users must also be 21 or older, verified and compliant with applicable laws.
This article describes the platform's dated access policy. A search for “Novig legal states” can combine two separate questions: where the app permits access and what law applies to a particular person or activity. The first does not resolve the second.
Novig states: the current published exclusions
| Physical location | Published access policy |
|---|---|
| Arizona | Excluded |
| Nevada | Excluded |
| Michigan | Excluded |
| Elsewhere in the United States | Subject to eligibility and current rules |
Keep the check date alongside any saved list. A screenshot without a date can remain in search results long after the underlying product changes. Recheck the official page before relying on a summary when traveling.
Residency and physical location are different
For an illustrative trip, a New York resident visiting Nevada is in an excluded location. Returning home changes the location question; it does not automatically resolve a separate verification problem.
A useful personal checklist records where you are now, what action you intend to take, and the exact message shown by the app. A failed deposit, an identity mismatch and a location error can require different next steps. Do not infer the cause from a generic “unavailable” message alone.
What happens to open positions during travel?
The eligibility FAQ says existing positions continue to settle in excluded states, while new orders, deposits and withdrawals are unavailable. Settlement and the ability to request a funds transfer are separate processes.
Before a trip, review your pending activity and the official policy. If a position resolves while you are away, that result alone does not explain when a bank payment will arrive. Our Novig withdrawal-time guide separates balance availability, review and payment-provider delivery.
Account verification remains a separate requirement
The verification guide describes checks involving legal name, birth date, address, phone number and the last four SSN digits; a current US driver's license or state ID may also be needed. It advises checking exact name spelling, current address and birth date when verification fails. Its current guidance says the third-party system has no manual review process.
Use the platform's official process for sensitive documents. An independent blog cannot inspect your account, verify identity or determine why a specific verification decision occurred. Keep the full error message for support, with passwords and private identity data out of public posts.
Location permissions and error messages
The eligibility page says disabled device-location permission can prevent access even in an otherwise eligible location. If the app identifies location as the issue, check its official instructions and the permission setting on your own device.
Record the app version and the time of the error. If the message persists, ask support to identify the failed requirement. Changing a mailing address does not establish where a device is physically located, and repeated attempts do not explain the underlying cause.
Federal status is not an individual eligibility check
The CFTC record for Ludlow Exchange, LLC lists designated contract market status effective June 16, 2026. Our Novig product guide explains the current sports-contract model and source records.
A regulatory designation answers a question about an organization. It does not verify your age, location, account status or a particular contract. Treat these as separate checks rather than interpreting a federal designation as an unconditional promise of access.
Before relying on a state list
- Check the official policy and its date.
- Identify the action you need: trade, deposit, withdraw or review settlement.
- Distinguish the current location from the account's address.
- Read the actual error and verification requirements.
- Confirm the contract's rules before committing funds.
